DIABLO 3 YO

Seriously, this game yo. It is, as the young people say 'off da hook'. I was waiting ont he day of release for it to be available in my region, which because of time differences, was 3:00 am (I pre-downloaded and installed it so that I could play it the second it was released). I made it to like, 2:30 before I fell asleep. As soon as I woke up the day after, I logged on, and created 'Daemon' the Demon Hunter. What a pimp, for real. Originally I had him using a single handed crossbow and a shield, but last time I was playing I got myself a fancy new longbow. Only problem with it is the support recently. Blizzard didn't have enough servers for the wave of intensity that was going to be layed down on Diablo when everyone logged on soon as the game released, and there were plenty of latency issues. What's blizzards reaction? Shut. Down. EVERYTHING. Seriously, the ammount of forum posts about 'I keep getting error 33 and error 12, please help!' were really astounding. Either way, I waited until I got home, and played the CRAP out of that game. Seriously, the only reason that I am even writing this blog post at the moment is because; One - I want to rant about how crazy good this game is, and two - I am trying to occupy myself so that time feels like it is going by faster, so I get to play Diablo 3 again as soon as possible. But yeah. This game IS getting played as much as humanly possible before I go anywhere today. HOMAGARRRRR - I want to play it so much.

FAREWELL, IMMA GO SEARCH DIABLO STUFF - also - appologies, because this is the exact worst blog post that ive ever written in my entire life.

Mists of Pandaria beta! AWW YEAHHH

As you may know, Blizzard Entertainment not too long ago have announced the fourth expansion pack for their game 'World of Warcraft', which I also did a blog entry on. The reason that I am so excited about this now, is that as of Sunday, I have been accepted into the beta test of Mists of Pandaria, the name of the fourth expansion. I am so pumped about this you wouldn't believe, because this is the first time that I will actually get to play in a game that I have been accepted into the beta test for. I was accepted into the beta for the game "Star Wars: The Old Republic", but didn't barely get to play it due to time restrictions, and havine a lot on my plate otherwise at the time of acceptance. But now, I have 2 days off of school for Drama Fest, then the weekend, and then however much more time I need or want to play it. I get to test out the new race that they added into the game, the Pandaren. I also get to check out all of the new areas and levels that they added, aswell as the new 'Monk' Class that they've added into the game, and countless other features like the new dungeon mechanics, farming abilities, character creation, and talent point system that they are adding into the game as well. It looks really interesting, and I have it downloading at my computer as we speak. It IS 16 gb, but that't really not all that much for an MMORPG of todays standards, I mean, the original version of the game as it is now is about 24-30 or something crazy like that, but for your average PC gamer, that's not much.  Either way, i'm really excited to try a game like this, especially because it is a game that I play as much as I do, and play monthly to play alone and with friends. I'll probably post some more blog entries about this in the future, so if you're interested, keep checking up on the blog for updates every so often.

WoW! This game is awesome!

I know the pun in the title kinda sucked, but lets put that aside for a moment here. Now, I'm sure you all noticed the different banner at the top of the page by now - as in, its no longer the Mass Effect picture. Well, that my friends, is because I just got my good ol' World of Warcraft account back.

Just getting back into the game now, I couldn't be more happy. With all the new promotions that they have going, thorough recruiting my friends, and my friends recruiting me, and subscribing to the annual pass, I managed to score my main character a Spectral Gryphon mount, a Tyrael's Charger mount, and a free level 80 character!

I had an old Worgen Druid that I had only gotten to level 22, who is now level 83 because 'Scroll of Resurrection' promotion amped him up to level 80, and did some questing, although to be fair, I still really hate Deepholme. Looks awesome, and its really unique, but I just hate it as a zone. The quests kinda suck, and there are so many "Run here and kill x amount of these" over and over, that it drives me insane, but besides that, the gear is good.

I got the charger for subscribing to the World of Warcraft Annual Pass, basically committing to subscribing World of Warcraft for a year straight. Aswell as the mount, I also got Diablo 3 for free, and guaranteed access to the Mists of Pandaria beta. Pretty ballin if I do say so myself.

I also bought my friend back to WoW, getting myself the Spectral Gryphon and a free month of WoW time, because he bought a month as well. That's how he got his level 80 so fast, and we're leveling those characters together, as well as I'm doing a few dungeons and some pvp on the side.

Over-all, a lot has changed since I last played WoW. The "LFR", or "Looking for Raid" system has been implemented finally. I never got a chance to test it out yet, (not that I don't have the gear for it, just not the time, or really the desire either...). Looks pretty neat though, but I just don't want do die over and over in a PuG group. That sucks, I remember those days from back in Wrath. Jeez, I remember wiping constantly even in a guild. Sindragosa is probably my least favorite boss in that entire raid. Well, Festergut first, then Rotface, then Putricide, and THEN Sindragosa. Seriously, the entire Plague Wing can shove it. It was awful and the blizz devs should feel bad for making it.

Anyways, enough ranting. I'm glad to have WoW back, and its awesome knowing that other people are getting it back. Really fun, and I can't wait to give the beta for Mists of Pandaria a shot. Also, May 15th, is Diablo 3 day for me. Guess who's not coming to school that week? THIS GUY. But I'll save that for another post...

Mass Effect 3

Looks actually amazing. Havent gotten a chance to play it just yet, but I couldn't have gotten a better gift from bioware from my birthday, well, a unlimited supply of game time for The Old Republic, and maybe a free level 50 character would be neat, but I guess some people would concider that 'cheating'. Anyways, Commander Shepard is back in the third and final chapter of his story, this time, battling to save his home planet, Earth. Armed with a new group of teammates, and a few friendly faces ofcourse, shepard is coming to help take back what is rightfuly his.
Along with the new game and story of Shepard is also a new multiplayer mode, which features several different races (Krogan ofcourse being the best) to play through II believe) deathmatch, horde mode, and possibly capture the flag and a few others aswell.
Personally, I am more than excited to finally be able to pick this game up and give it a try, after ofcourse I beat mass effect 2 again, so I can carry over my save file. Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention, you can carry save files through all of the games, so if you beat ME1, you can use that save file in ME2, and the same goes for ME3.
Either way, i'm reall excited to finally give this game a shot. I'd love to reccommend it, but since I havent played it yet, I can't. BUT, if I were to go out on a limb, i'd say its going to be more than amazing, so I wouldn't really hesitate to pick it up if your a fan of cover based, and choice choosing games.

Guild Wars 2

Originally, I wasn't all that pumped for Guild Wars 2, playing the original and not really liking it all that much, but with the new systems being added, I think it looks pretty intriguing. All though in my own personal opinion, the Asura (the tiny little elf monkey people things) look kind of goofy, but I guess you can't really hate a game for its more silly aspects. Personally, after reviewing the classes and races and all that, I think I can see myself playing either a Charr or a Norn, with the class of either an engineer or a warrior depending on race. I think the system of weapons providing half of the abilities and the class providing half of the abilities really neat, as what you can do within the game is constantly changing with your gear and playstyle. I think one of the big things than so many people are going to be glad about with Guild Wars 2, as with the first one, is that once you buy it, there are no monthly fees, and you own the game fully. They frequently release new content for it, which you have to pay for, but besides that, you own all there is to own. The dynamic always-changing world seems to be another cool feature that they announced will be in the game. Their example was, say there are a group of centaurs trying to take over a villiage, and nobody pays attention to them, they can actually overtake the villiage, but on the other hand, if people come in and stop them, they can be driven out of the area. It is always updating aswell, so if people stop caring about them, they will come back and start to gain ground again. In the long run, despite my innitial thoughts about the franchise, I think i'm going to go into Guildwars 2 with a clear mind and ready to adventure, although i'd love to recomend it, I can't, as I havent actually played it yet, but as far as first impressions from the public come, I think its going to be quite the game.
